(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – Warner Archive has announced that “Batman: Mask of the Phantasm,” the 1993 DC Comics adaptation, is finally coming to high-definition for the first time ever in July.
The Blu-ray of what’s widely considered not just the best animated “Batman” film, but one of the best “Batman” films ever made, will score both a new 1080p HD re-master and will include both the original 16×9 aspect ratio (1.78:1) and an open matte 4×3 (1.37:1) version.
The story begins with some of the city’s most feared gangsters being systematically eliminated by a sinister figure called the Phantasm. As the authorities blame Batman and hunt him down, Batman must find how said figure connects to his past.
