(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – UPDATE: The Cabinet has approved a Joint Cabinet Paper on the South Asian Institute of Technology and Medicine (SAITM) and the Dr. Neville Fernando Hospital.
The Cabinet paper proposes that there are no more discussions with the Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) on the SAITM issue.

(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – The Government’s stance on the issue surrounding the South Asian Institute of Technology and Medicine (SAITM) is due to be presented to the Cabinet of Ministers on Tuesday (27).
Issuing a communiqué, the Minister of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine, Dr. Rajitha Senaratne stated that a Joint Cabinet Paper would be issued by the Health Ministry in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education and Highways.
