(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – Northern Provincial Councillors Ananthy Sasitharan and K. Sarveswaran were sworn in as Ministers of the Northern Provincial Council before the Governor Reginald Cooray on Thursday (29).
Ms. Sasitharan was sworn in as Minister of Women Affairs, Social Services, Rehabilitation, Industries and Enterprise Promotion while Mr. Sarveswaran was sworn in as Minister of Education, Sports, Youth Affairs and Cultural Affairs.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister C. V. Vigneswaran took oaths as the Northern Province Minister of Finance and Planning, Law and Order, Lands, Energy, Housing and Construction, Tourism, Local Government, Provincial Administration, Agriculture and Agrarian Service, Animal Husbandry, Irrigation, Water Supply and Environment.
