(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – There is a possibility of evening thunder showers in the Eastern and Uva Provinces during the next few days, Met. Department said.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-western and Southern Provinces.
Showers or thundershowers will occur elsewhere particularly after 2.00 p.m.
Fairly heavy showers (about 50 mm) can be expected at some places.
Fairly strong winds about 50 kmph can be expected in the Hambantota District.
Temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers are expected and the public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning.
