(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – Patty Jenkins’ “Wonder Woman” has now surpassed “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2” to become the third biggest Warner Bros. release of all time in North America.
The film has gone past the $381 million total gross of ‘Deathly Hallows: Part 2’ but falls behind both Nolan’s “The Dark Knight” ($533.3 million) and “The Dark Knight Rises” ($448.1 million).
The film is also set to surpass the $386.6 million domestic gross of “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” to become the top-grossing movie of this summer.
Should things go to plan, it’s expected Warners will make the official announcement of a sequel at Comic-Con later this week with Jenkins once again directing.
