(UTV|COLOMBO) – UPDATE: The notice calling for nominations for 93 Local Government (LG) bodies was issued by respective Returning Officers today, the Elections Commission said. Accordingly, the accepting of candidate’s deposits will begin today and continue till 13 December.
Nominations will be accepted from 11 to 14 December.

(UTV|COLOMBO) – The amended Gazette notification on Local Government bodies is scheduled to be released today (27).
The Elections Commission decided to announce nominations dates, for the conduct of elections for 93 Local Government bodies with no legal obstacles.
The Chairman of the Commission, Mahinda Deshapriya stated that call for nominations will be announced on 27 November.
