UTV | COLOMBO – Rohit Sharma became the first player to score 3 double centuries in One Day Internationals and helped India total 392 for 4 in their 2nd ODI against Sri Lanka at Mohali.
The Indian stand-in skipper remained 208 not out facing 153 balls. He hit 13 fours and 12 sixes.
Sharma first added 115 runs for the 1st wicket with Shikar Dhawan (68) in 21.1 overs.
After the loss of Dhawan, SS Iyer joining Sharma added 213 runs for the 2nd wicket. Iyer made 88 off 70 balls which included 9 fours and 2 sixes.
In bowling, Thisara Perera bagged 3 wickets for 80 runs off 8 overs.
