UTV | COLOMBO – The investigations into the incidents of cheating by students at GCE O/L mathematics paper have been handed over to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
The Police Spokesperson disclosed this development.

Another O/L student apprehended for exam fraud
UTV | COLOMBO – Ministry of Examinations has started an investigation on another O/L candidate who had allegedly written answers for O/L mathematics paper with the support of a mobile device.
The suspect was a private candidate and the incident had taken place at an Examination Center in Colombo yesterday (18).
Meanwhile, the Examinations Department has suspended a student from Anuradhapura to sit for the O/Level exam from today after he was caught using the Viber app to answer yesterday’s mathematics paper 1.
Police took into custody the student’s answer paper and the mobile phone after the incident.
