(UDHAYAM, CAPE TOWN) – The third and final Twenty20 International between Sri Lanka and South Africa is scheduled to get underway tonight at the Newlands, Cape Town.
The game will be the decider of the series with both the home team and the visitors bagging a match a piece. The Lankans will be captained by Wicket Keeper Batsman Dinesh Chandimal after regular skipper Angelo Matthews returned to the country citing personal reasons earlier this week.
Sri Lanka will need to dig deep and overcome the absence of some key players to get the better of South Africa in the decider.
After going down by 19 runs in the opener, Sri Lanka won the second T20I by three wickets on Sunday to leave the series tied 1-1. The win in Johannesburg was Sri Lanka’s first of the tour.
The Home side had swept the preceding Test series 3-NIL. The T20 finale will get underway from 9.30 pm.
