(UTV|COLOMBO) – Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Films have set Michael De Luca as a producer on the “Suicide Squad” sequel which is moving forward and is planning to begin shooting in the Fall.
Gavin O’Connor (“Warrior,” “The Accountant”) is on board to write and direct the sequel starring Will Smith, Margot Robbie, and Jared Leto. Despite negative reviews, the film brought in more than $745 million worldwide.
De Luca was the former head of New Line who segued into producing such films as “The Social Network,” “Moneyball” and the “Fifty Shades of Grey” franchise.
