(UTV|COLOMBO) – Early this month, the Rajagiriya flyover bridge was declared open for traffic.
The authorities also promised to develop the surrounding roads and pavements for the benefit of the road users.
However, when we visited there, we saw that the work has come to an abrupt halt.
The entry to Buthgamuwa road is a complete mess.
The road-side businesses and other road users are facing various hardships due to the non-completion of the work.
The area residents are urging the authorities to complete the remaining work as soon as possible without inconveniencing them further.
