(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – The Supreme Court today (03rd Friday) fixed the hearing on a petition filed by MP Vasudeva Nanayakkara against the pact arrived by the Sri Lankan and Chinese governments pertaining to the Hambantota port, for the 13th of February.
The order was issued by a two member bench comprising of Chief Justice K Sri Pavan and Justice Anil Gunarathne. When presenting submissions in court the Deputy Solicitor General Sanjaya Rajaratnam said the framework agreement between China and Sri Lanka pertaining to the Hambantota port was first signed in 2012.
The Deputy Solicitor General said a copy of the framework agreement will be presented in court when the case is taken up for hearing next.
Udhayam News court correspondent said taking into consideration the submissions the Supreme Court today adjourned the case until the 13th of this month.
