UTV | COLOMBO – An advanced level student in Galle has assaulted a ward doctor of the Karapitiya Teaching Hospital this afternoon (May 09).
The student had attacked the doctor accusing him of not treating his mother properly.
The student was attending the needs of his mother, who was being treated at the hospital.
When contacted, the GMOA branch of the Karapitiya Teaching Hospital said that the patient was to be transferred to another ward for further treatment, and the student had attacked the doctor without knowing it.
However, the suspect was arrested by the Hospital Police and he will be produced before courts tomorrow.
