UTV | COLOMBO – Details have come to light that a detainee at the Welikada Prison is directly linked with the heroin which was detected at the Bandaranaike International Airport by the officials of Sri Lanka Customs.
227 g of heroin was detected at the airmail section at the BIA and the estimated value was Rs. 3 million.
The spokesperson of Sri Lanka Customs Sunil Jayaratne said that three persons have been arrested and they were handed over to the Police Narcotics Bureau.
The suspects are aged 26, 30 and 45 and residents of Veyangoda and Colombo.
The narcotic had sent from Mumbai hidden in a garment sent to a resident of Minuwangoda.
