(UTV|COLOMBO) – Sony Pictures has set “The Equalizer” scribe Richard Wenk to pen the script for the next “Spider-Man” spin-off film “Kraven the Hunter”.
The long-time Spider-Man villain’s real name is Sergei Kravinoff, a Russian aristocrat who became obsessed with big game hunting and eventually develops superpowers after taking a voodoo elixir.
The project will join “Venom” and “Silver and Black” as one of the next films in “Sony’s Marvel Universe” which is completely separate from the Marvel Studios Cinematic Universe (MCU) and the Tom Holland-led “Spider-Man films.
“Venom” releases later this year, while “Spider-Man: Far From Home” is currently in production.
