(UTV|COLOMBO) – Guy Pearce is reportedly in talks to replace Michael Sheen on the film adaptation of Valiant Entertainment comics title “Bloodshot” which has just begun production.
The story follows Vin Diesel as former soldier Ray Garrison who is killed and brought back to life with billions of nanobots. This allows him to be the perfect soldier by healing from injuries, shapeshifting and interacting with technology.
He also suffers total memory loss and struggles to reconnect with who he was while learning what sort of weapon he has become. Sheen was forced to back out of the project due to scheduling conflicts and Pearce was snatched up as a replacement.
Pearce joins a cast that includes Toby Kebbell, Sam Heughan, Lamorne Morris, Eiza Gonzalez, Johannes Haukur Johannesson, Talulah Riley and Alex Hernandez. Dave Wilson helms the film from a script by Eric Heisserer.
