(UTV|COLOMBO) – Filmmaker Josh Trank (“Chronicle,” “Fantastic Four”) has released the first official still showing off Tom Hardy as gangster Al Capone in his upcoming feature “Fonzo”.
Fandango tweeted (and then quickly deleted) a different still of Hardy as Capone last week, while Hardy has been showing off some behind the scenes stills whilst shooting in New Orleans. This however is the first true photo from the project.
The story centers on a now 47-year-old Capone, months before his death, suffering from dementia that has rotted his mind following an imprisonment of nearly a decade. Past and present blend together as memories of his violent origins slips into his waking hours.
Linda Cardellini, Matt Dillon, Kyle MacLachlan and Kathrine Narducci co-star in the film due for release sometime in 2019.
