(UTV|COLOMBO) The Wimalasurendra Reservoir Spill Gates have been opened yesterday evening (13) due to heavy rain experienced in the hill country to the Western slopes.
Water levels in Castlereagh and Moussakelle Reservoirs have reached the spill level due to heavy showers.
Lakshapana, New Laxapana, Koslanda and Wimalasurendra Reservoirs water levels increased the maximum capacity, the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) said.
