(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – The maiden parliamentary session for this year begins today.
Although the debate on the proposed constitution was scheduled to begin today, the Constitution Assembly decided to post-pone the debate indefinitely. Earlier it had been decided to hold the debate today, tomorrow and day-after-tomorrow.
Dy. Parliamentary Secretary General Neel Iddawela said that parliamentary session that begins today at 9.30 am would meet again on 24th this month.
