DIG NALAKA LEAVES THE GOVERNMENT ANALYST OFFICE WITHOUT FACING THE MEDIA; ANOTHER COMPLAINT TO THE CID

UTV | COLOMBO – DIG Nalaka de Silva appeared before the Government Analyst yesterday morning to submit a sample recording of his voice,  as part of the investigation into the conspiracy allegations levelled against him.

Our correspondents stated that DIG de Silva arrived at the Government Analyst at 9.55 yesterday morning and left 45 minutes later, at which time he refused to speak to the media.

The operations director of Anti Corruption Brigade, Namal Kumara recently exposed the content of a telephone conversation that had taken place with DIG of Terrorism Investigation Division, Nalaka de Silva, relating details about  a conspiracy to have President Maithripala Sirisena and  former defence secretary, Gotabhaya Rajapaksa assasinated.

Meanwhile, the Sinhale Jathika Sanvidhanaya made an official complaint to the CID and police department today.

The President of the organization Dan Priyasath stated in his complaint that Namal Kumara and DIG Nalaka de Silva should be arrested immediately.

However, Namal Kumara informed police on 27th Thursday that Dan Priyasath was instrumental in instigating a dispute that had taken place between himself and DIG Nalaka de Silva.

In addition, Namal Kumara said that DIG Nalaka de Silva had instructed an expatriate in France to send him money to carry out plans of sabotage here in sri lanka.

Meanwhile, the Court ordered yesterday that the Indian national, who was arrested at the Namal Kumara’s Warakapola private residence ,undergo a psychiatric assessment and the report be submited.

The CID informed the court that the arrested Indian national will be detained for three months for questioning.
