(UTV|COLOMBO) – Oscar-nominated actor Djimon Hounsou (“Guardians of the Galaxy,” “Furious 7”) has signed on to play one of the Bosley’s in the upcoming reboot of the “Charlie’s Angels” franchise at Sony Pictures.
The new take reimagines the Townsend Agency as a security and intelligence service that has teams of kickass women around the world. Bosley is now the codename for the handlers of each team, with Patrick Stewart and Elizabeth Banks also playing Bosleys in the movie.
Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, and Ella Balinska play the angels this time around with Doug Miro and Carlo Bernard co-writing the script while Banks helms the film. Gerardo Mendez and Jonathan Tucker also star.
For genre fans, Hounsou is about to be a very familiar face with supporting roles in the next three major comic book film adaptations – “Aquaman,” “Captain Marvel” and “Shazam!”.
